Here is an example of how far off my planned route is comparing the plain map view to the satellite view! I was way off my planned route…I had myself going way up into the large masses of vegetation so I had to bypass most of my waypoints. My session ended up looking like what you see in the two photos.

This is an essential feature to have for paddling lakes with large amounts of vegetation that must be paddled around. You cannot plan a route around these large masses using the plan map view. In South East Texas, all of our lakes have large vegetation masses to navigate around. Please please add the satellite map feature for planning routes!
